However, in actual operation, due to various reasons, the molecular sieves may absorb water or oil, thereby reducing their working efficiency. Among them, the pulverization of molecular sieves is a relatively serious situation. To solve the problem of molecular sieve pulverization, the only solution is to replace all the carbon molecular sieves in the entire system. It is strictly forbidden to continue filling the tank with molecular sieves, as this will cause the molecular sieve powder to fill the entire nitrogen pipeline.

To reject the pulverization of molecular sieves, it is necessary to start from the early stage of work to prevent problems before they occur.

  1. Choose molecular sieves of reliable quality
  2. Professional and reasonable bed layout
  3. Professional filling
  4. The interior of the container is clean, flat and free of burrs

If the gas flow is too large, the adsorption speed of the molecular sieve will be too slow, affecting the purity of oxygen and also reducing the service life of the molecular sieve. Therefore, after replacing the molecular sieve, the usage pressure and regeneration time should be reasonably controlled according to the equipment specifications and models to avoid the recurrence of molecular sieve pulverization.
  4. Strengthen daily maintenance of equipment: Enhance the daily maintenance of equipment. For instance, control the purity of the gas entering the molecular sieve to prevent the equipment from being subjected to vibration or impact, etc.

At present, judging from the development trend, molecular sieves may become smaller and smaller in the future. As a result, the surface adsorption efficiency will become higher and higher. But correspondingly, its pressure-bearing capacity will become weaker and weaker. Therefore, preventing the pulverization of molecular sieves will become a key consideration in system design and later maintenance.
